Introduction: Why you might want to turn off Cloud Music
If you’re not a big fan of streaming music or you just want to free up some storage space on your device, you can turn off Cloud Music in the settings menu. This will stop any songs from automatically downloading to your device and delete any Cloud Music files that are already on your device.
How to turn off Cloud Music
If you’re using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you can turn off iCloud Music Library in the Settings app.
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Music.
3. Tap the button next to iCloud Music Library to turn it off .
4. When prompted, choose to Keep Music on This iPhone or Delete & Replace.
What happens when you turn off Cloud Music
When you turn off Cloud Music, any music you’ve downloaded to your device that didn’t come from the iTunes Store will be removed. Any music in your iCloud Music Library will still be available to you, but if you turn off iCloud Music Library on your device, it will no longer show up in the Music app. You can turn iCloud Music Library back on at any time by going to Settings > Music.
